Top General Tips

1) Familiarize yourself with the entire UNI website. Most questions or topics are already covered there. Information on installation, patterns, projects, products, specs, news and technical info are included. Making yourself more knowledgeable about the products you sell will pay off in increased sales. This is especially true with the Eco-Stone® Family of Permeable Pavers or Anchorlock projects. These products require extra effort and knowledge to sell properly. You should also read the design manuals and review the Eco-Stone® and Anchorlock® PowerPoint presentations. The presentations are made to be customized by sales reps for their own seminars
and presentations. Utilizing all the tools available to you will result in more sales for you.

2) Get your local information and projects into our offices. It is important to represent YOUR area in our overall website. Those interested in pavers want to know about projects in their own areas. This is especially true with the Eco-Stone® Family of Permeable Pavers. We can't read your mind and won't be aware of a project in your area unless you let us know. A digital photo is a must.

Projects may be added to our new Eco-Stone® Family of Permeable Pavements Project Profiles - the online version can be updated to add two new projects at a time - this give you and your company added visibility. We will also add these to our UNI-GROUP U.S.A. Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn pages.

3) Both the UNI-GROUP U.S.A. office and F. von Langsdorff (Licensor) office can be of assistance in a number of ways. We can speak with engineers or municipals officials on your behalf if necessary, find research for a specific issue or concern, and can reach out to for expert opinions. We have case studies on different products and projects, design manuals, numerous research articles, brochures, and software.

4) If you don't know the answer to a question asked by a design pro, give us a call or have them contact us directly. They will appreciate any extra effort you put in to help them out on a project.

 

5) The UNI NEWS is sent out several times per year to UNI Members. It includes updates on what's happening in the industry, governmental regulations, grants, municipal programs, green building, low impact developement and more. If you are not on our list, please let us know and we will add you.


SEND IN YOUR PROJECTS!

Promote your company by sending in your project so that we may include them on this website and on our Facebook page. If it's a permeable project, we can add this to the online version of our Project Profiles multi-project case study as well. NASA ANCHORLOCK TESTING
This research was done at NASA on a number of paver shapes including UNI-Anchorlock. All other paver shapes, including 4 x 8 rectangles failed under the extreme stress of the testing - Anchorlock was the only shape that successfully withstood the repeated testing. Because all members sell rectangles, we only utilize this research in cases of heavy duty installations in competition with rectangular - such as ports, depots, etc. Click here.

This comprehensive training guide can help sales people gain knowledge and confidence in selling permeable interlocking concrete pavers. ELGIN PAVEMENT CLEANING PAPER
We don't list this paper on the general website, because it is biased towards Elgin equipment and we have other testing that have found the pavers can be maintained with standard streetsweeping equipment. It may be useful however from a regeneration standpoint if a pavement has become clogged after a number of years of use.

ECO-PRIORA PERMEABLE INFILTRATION TEST - Test on Eco-Priora with # 9 aggregate in the joints and a 1/4" joint spacing. We include this test in this section of the website, as it is specific to Pavestone's version of Eco-Priora® with narrower joints. Given it still has a high infiltration rate, it still may be useful for those who make Eco-Priora® in other areas.
